The annual tree lighting ceremony in downtown Paxton will be on Friday, November 30 at 7:00 pm.  The event will include a children’s story hour immediately following the tree lighting at The Vineyard Church.  During the tree-lighting ceremony, the crowning of the Paxton Park District’s Christmas prince and princess will be done. There will also be holiday music performed, and winners of an essay contest sponsored by Heartland Health Care of Paxton and a coloring contest sponsored by the Paxton IGA will be announced.
