The Ford-Iroquois Public Health Department will offer flu vaccination clinics in Ford and Iroquois counties starting next week and throughout October.
Registered nurse Dee Ann Schippert said this year’s seasonal flu vaccine includes the H1N1 flu vaccine, so only one vaccination is needed.
Flu clinics next week are scheduled for 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, at the health department office at 235 N. Taft St. in Paxton.
Ford County clinics in October will be held:
— Oct. 1, from 1-4 p.m., at the health department in Paxton;
— Oct. 2, from 9-11 a.m. at the Paxton IGA, 144 W. Pells St.;
— Oct. 3, from 9-11 a.m. at the Kempton American Legion Hall, 212 First St., Kempton;
— Oct. 5, from 9-11 a.m. at the health department in Paxton;
— Oct. 10, from 5-9 p.m. at the health department in Paxton;
— Oct. 15, from 9-11:30 a.m. at Courtyard of Piper City, 580 S. Maple St.;
— Oct. 15, from 1-4 p.m. at the health department in Paxton;
— Oct. 19, from 9-11 a.m. at the health department in Paxton;
— Oct. 29, from 9-11 a.m. at Telecare, 215 E. Third St., Gibson City;
— Oct. 29, from 1-4 p.m. at the health department in Paxton.
It is requested that those attending a clinic wear a shirt or blouse that provides easy access to the vaccination site. Persons on Medicare, Health Alliance or Health Alliance HMO are required to present their card at the time of vaccination. Those not having Medicare Parts A & B, Health Alliance or Health Alliance Medicare HMO as their primary insurer will be required to pay for their vaccination at the time of service.
