“The University of Illinois Extension, Ford-Iroquois Master Gardeners extend an invitation to attend Summer Vegetable Gardening, the next gardening workshop of the spring season, on Tuesday, April 26 beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the Ford-Iroquois Extension office, located at 912 W. Seminary Avenue in Onarga.
Local foods have been in the news a lot this past year. Learning how to grow your own backyard produce will be the focus of this distance delivery teleconference presented by Jim Schmidt, Horticulture Specialist. Even if you missed planting a spring garden, it is not too late to get summer’s bounty.
Future spring gardening workshops include Invasive Trees and Shrubs (May 10th) also beginning at 1 p.m. at the Ford-Iroquois Extension Office in Onarga.
This workshop is open to anyone interested in learning about vegetable gardening. The $5 registration fee for the workshop is being covered by the Ford-Iroquois Master Gardeners. Pre-registration is requested by calling the Ford-Iroquois Extension Office at 815/268-4051 or on our website at:
