It appears that the City of Paxton is cracking down on Property owners who don’t keep their property clean. Tickets are being issued to property owners for ordinance violations. This is a relief to many homeowners who do keep thier properties clean and have neighbors who just refuse to do the same. I do applaud this action but we must also be ready to help any property owner who is physically or financially unable to keep up thier properties. We have many eldery homeowners on fixed incomes that may just need some help fixing things up around the House/yard.And as Paxton hopes to fill up those 200+ new homes being built by the interstate, we should make every effort to insure that these ordinances are enforced fairly. That means ticketing Businesses as well as residents. we have several properties as you drive into Paxton from ANY direction that need to be spruced up. I know that the Mayor is well aware of this and is trying to encourage these owners to clean up. Perhaps they too should be ticketed..This would also help encourage Homes sales in other areas of Paxton. There are many lovely homes in Paxton but some propective buyers have expressed concern over the neighboring properies.

RE Gays in Paxton
For some reason to comment box wont work for me so I am posting here to answer Citizen’s comment. Thanks for the posting. Now I get it. You are looking at this from the standpoint that the Business Did NOT offer these services to ANYONE so therefore should not be forced to offer them to gays or any other person. If that is the case you are ABSOLUTELY RIGHT. But the Business did and still does offer Civil ceremonies and that is what I am referring to and why all the examples were listed in my previous post. click here and scroll towards the bottm of the page. http://www.timbercreekbb.com/weddings.htm. You can also see where they added the No Civil UNIONS as if thats different from a Civil Ceremony. And the turmoil could have been avoided entirely had it not been for Mr. Walden’s own comments.Quote”The co-owner of the Timber Creek B&B, Jim Walder, also wrote e-mails to Wathen citing various biblical verses and denouncing homosexuality as “wrong and unnatural,” adding that “we will never host same-sex weddings even if they become legal in Illinois.””If that is discrimination, I guess we unfortunately discriminate,” Walder wrote in correspondence provided to the Paxton Record by Wathen.” END QUOTEAs for a lawsuit for money I agree “gimme a break”. But I do think it is fair and sometimes necessary to file a complaint and try to resolve the Issue IF it can be resolved.Again thanx for taking the time to post. Your viewpoint is appreciated. Take care
