The annual Ford County Town & Country Amateur Art Show is scheduled for noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 10, at the Paxton Civic Center, 601 S. Fall St.
The show is open to non-professional artists and crafters. It is a way for them to have their art work publicly exhibited and professionally judged. The entry deadline is 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 7. Entries must be original work created by an amateur artist within the past year.
Eligible entries may represent any visual art media, including paintings, drawings, printmaking, crafts, sculptures, photography and digital media.
A blue ribbon will be awarded in each age division (elementary, junior high/high school, and adult) in each of the seven mediums to be judged. In addition, a best of show ribbon will be awarded in each division. Judges will provide a public critique of each work immediately following the announcement of the winners.
