And don’t forget to load up on some hot chocolate, warm the car up and take a drive through town to enjoy the beautiful holiday displays!!
1)A live nativity scene will be presented at the Federated Church, 221 W. Center St. in Paxton, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Sunday Dec. 21. People can drive by the church to see it.
2) The Loda United Methodist Church will hold a Blue Christmas worship service at 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 21, for individuals and families experiencing a difficult time this holiday season. Persons struggling with unemployment, finances, the loss of a loved one, broken relationships, illness and loneliness are invited to attend the service, which will be followed by a brief time of light refreshments and fellowship. 3) Santa will make his annual visit to Buckley on Sunday, Dec. 21. Santa will greet children at the 103 East dining room from 1-3 p.m. His visit is sponsored by the Buckley Community Group and Buckley Lions Club. All children are encouraged to come and visit Santa.
4) Hoopeston’s Christmas in the Village light display in Christman Park. The display spans the entire park, and is set to Christmas music. The lights are on from 5:00-11:00
5) And of course we can’t forget about the Johnson Christmas Display. Absolutely our favorite, and we make it a yearly event to go see it.
