City cracks down
It appears that the City of Paxton is cracking down on Property owners who don’t keep their property clean. Tickets are being issued to property owners for ordinance violations. This is a relief to many homeowners who do keep thier properties clean and have neighbors who just refuse to do the same. I do applaud this action but we must also be ready to help any property owner who is physically or financially unable to keep up thier properties. We have many eldery homeowners on fixed incomes that may just need some help fixing things up around the House/yard.And as Paxton hopes to fill up those 200+ new homes being built by the interstate, we should make every effort to insure that these ordinances are enforced fairly. That means ticketing Businesses as well as residents. we have several properties as you drive into Paxton from ANY direction that need to be spruced up. I know that the Mayor is well aware of this and is trying to encourage these owners to clean up. Perhaps they too should be ticketed..This would also help encourage Homes sales in other areas of Paxton. There are many lovely homes in Paxton but some propective buyers have expressed concern over the neighboring properies.
